“Fashion to me is clearly clothes but it is also the amazing feeling one gets when something beautiful is represented right in front of them. Fashion is color, it is imagery, and most importantly, it's self expression that defines us.”
Danae’s collection: My collection is a ready-to-wear collection that’s full of shapes. It is a very literal depiction of that element. Geometric shapes were my inspiration so my collection is full of structured silhouettes. It is also a play on hard vs. soft and I plan to illustrate this using materials that contrast each other. This collection was designed with the edgy New York girl in her twenties in mind. It's centered on the staple color of New York and is a combination of dresses and separates.
What excites you most about Fusion? In Fusion I'm most excited about showcasing my work. Building a small collection that represents who I am as a designer and one that I can show to all of my friends and family members that have supported me throughout the years.
